I'm 51 and disable (part 1)

in #disable7 years ago (edited)

Hi,

First and foremost i'm a french Canadian, so my English is not always kosher.

My story begin 5 years ago on December 30th 2012, I am unemployed at the time for 1 month or so.

It was around 2:30pm and i was tired, so i go to sleep. After 5 or 10 minutes i felt my right arm numb , and the right part of my face also felt numb, so i said to myself "i have a stroke" , i knew it was that because of the symptoms that i learned a couple year ago when my father did one. So i decide to get up and go call 911 but at the time i did not know that my right leg was also affected, so i fell down. The only way for me to move was by crawling like a baby with the limbs that were not affected. In my mind it took not more than 15 minutes but afterward i found out that it took hours.

I tried to call 911 but no luck, so i stumped on the floor because i lived on a 2nd floor, after a while my stumping worked and my neighbor called 911 and i was kind of saved, because i learned that 30 minutes to 1 hour later and i could have died. So the paramedic arrived 15 minutes after the call, and from there blackout for at least 3 or 4 days.

End of part 1. I hope that i was coherent and not to boring.

See you in part 2 in a week or so.
