I have been considering EMP Protection for my devices, I have found that a Faraday Case for most hand held to be a very good idea to put together soon as possible, this is in the way of a box covered in a good quality heavy duty aluminium foil put your electronics in a anti-static ESD electronics bag form many sources in the box and seal with aluminium foil, I would put all in a very large plastic bag that is the non-static type cable tie once and fold the bag end over and cable tie a second time! if nothing else all spare electronic equipment would be kept good and maybe usable after a disaster.
