Wabash Park has been my playground my entire life. I had a pool pass to the Hap Parker swimming pool every summer. I played little league at the ball diamonds. I practiced tennis for hours against wall; kicked field goals at the goalpost. I play hockey in the alley. I love playing recreational sports myself, trying to imitate those sports icons i worshiped as a kid.
This past year the village of Rantoul installed 6 disc golf baskets around the park, and i knew that i had a new passion to invest myself him. I used to play frisbee for hours with my sister trying to hit each other in the legs, and to be able to take my niece out to the playground this afternoon i cant think of a better activity to get some time outdoors and enjoy a new pass time that is new to me at 36, still having fun in the sun on a Sunday in the park
