it means one that does 100 things but you only need one thing from it. It does that one thing better than the other 100 bots that also do that thing.
:D Exactly! Finding a good (free) app to play music from my phone is also agony. There's just too many apps that play music. Can I hire you to do that for me?
What do you mean to play music? Are there specific things you want? I just use google play 🤷♀️ ... Maybe you want special features?
I want it to be available without internet connection. I want it to show the folders that I've copied the music in. And I want it to play the music from that specific folder only that I've chosen. And also, this is important, I want it to play the music in specific order according to the file name as I name the music on my computer before I copy it to the phone: 01_music_name, 02_music_name etc. Most players just ignore the file name and arrange, and play the music alphabetically what stands in preferences so that I would have to put the number in preferences in front of the artist name and doing that is far more annoying than just changing the file name. And as I have to do this several times a week, doing playlists in phone is also too much trouble.
And it needs to be free and it can't have too many adds in it and the adds can never interrupt the music playing.
The app that I now use is Audify music player but it has suddenly started to have a mind of it's own, it starts to play music on it's own whenever it want's and the app is't even on. I mean visible. I have to go to settings and find the app there and force it to stop. And it has also started to get stuck when I use it.
But yeah, perhaps I can do the app comparin myself and not make you do that annoying shit. :D
Not sure there are few that really do it well, I only use the play one but I saw today they ended that and now I just changed it to Youtube Music but I think for folder specific things I would use ES File Explorer and the ES Player.
I'll try that. Thanks for the hint, although my text was more like a rant than a plea for help. No. Actually it also was a plea for help. More than anything it was a plea for help. :D
I use Youtube Music, also. It's great. It does offer the option to download music. I think it's 10$ USD a month. No ads.
That's nice. Although what I need is a music player that plays music I already have in my computer as mp3:s and I copypaste that to my phone and want to play it in specific order according to the file name.
Found a new app that I'm trying out if it's any good.
