The scientific method is actually brilliant and simple. Yet it has absolutely NOTHING to do with what you just wrote. At least in the way you phrased them.

Asking questions.
Bashing people for denying or disagreeing is not SCIENCE. It is religion.

Consensus is NOT part of the scientific method.
If every single person on the planet was suddenly in consensus that something was true that was in fact false, it would not suddenly become true. The inverse is true when speaking about believing things are false.
Even so. That is irrelevant if you actually follow the scientific method.
Do you know what a person who follows the scientific method rigorously is called? A scientist.
Do you think a person with a degree that fails to follow the scientific method is worthy of the title scientist? If you do. You'd be wrong.

The most important thing in science is to ask questions and continually challenge what we know.
