wind (and solar, and small hydro) is a different thing when it's at the 'point of use' level, self funded and with adequate storage.
My concerns were government funded and utililty level.

This design is an order of magnitude leap past the existing wind generator designs (that is why Sandia Labs wants it). It will start at lower wind velocities, and generate about 300% more power. Mine will be a test prototype, to allow me to be totally certain of efficiencies, and control systems, before I patent it.
