The Press Is Public Enemy

  • When George Washington sat at the head of the table at the Constitutional Convention, he allowed no daily briefing of the press and forbade notes to leave the room. Washington, like President Trump, did not take kindly to leakers.
    .
Washington recognized that if the public heard the details of the debates and disputes at the convention day in and day out, all filtered through the back and forth of the partisan press (which, for all its faults, was at least honest about its partisanship—unlike today’s “objective” journalists), the people might well be excited into losing hope in legitimate political processes. The father of our country had little confidence in the power of the press to inform the people properly.

That was a time in which the average voters were actually informed and had a clue about the issues. That time is long gone. The average american voter doesn't even know who his elected representatives are. Many, many, polls and 'man on the street interviews' have shown this to be true.

Today's public educations system ...isn't.

The public today is much less educated than at any time in history.

Television killed the art of conversation. I-phones put the last nail in it's coffin. People are spoon fed pablum by Public Enemy Number One. They're told what to think not how to.

  • the New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, et. al., have made fortunes polarizing the country

helping the Dhmikrats to steal election after election

  • thus promoting the destruction of our civilization.

...and the Republicans let them.

Sort:

Add to what you listed, that the Dems have backed and helped three moslems win seats - which means for the areas they represent, soon Christian Americans (or atheists) will have to think twice before passing through their areas of influence.

It was the first step - I now wonder how long before they dominate in the US government.

Prudent people always 'think twice'. Situational awareness is a survival characteristic. A white boy who walks thru the ghetto at night likely wishes he hadn't soon enough for example.

The dhmikrats have always dominated the U.S.. government.
Sometimes they disguised themselves as RINOs..but other than the name there was little difference.

Trump is the first real change since Calvin Coolidge.

You hit it right on the head with your points about voting. It's becoming more and more apparent that people only vote based on what they are told to vote by the media. The media is brainwashing the next generations. I thank the lord that we have a President who is unafraid of calling out the media on their yellow journalism and biased half truths.

We have Trump as long as we can keep him.
99% of all media reports about him are hostile.
The Rinos didn't help much.
FaceBook has purged 9billion (yes that right...with a 'b') links to anything conservative.
FaceBook is where soccer moms get their info, that and 'the view'.

Ain't I just a ray of sunshine?

Absolutely. This is why we have to fight to the utmost to keep him.
