Too much FUD out there. Still there is danger in the world. Teach your kids how to shoot and they will understand guns don't kill, people kill. They might even be able to protect themselves. In the very rare event they needed to.
In all due respect I'll pass, thank you. My Grandfathers never had guns, my dad never had guns, and I'm 50 and I never had a gun. I don't plan to have one now nor teach my daughters how to shoot one. If they want to learn when they are 18 and get one then more power to them. Fact is my family is generations upon generations of never having a gun and never learned how to shoot them and NEVER. EVER needed one ( yeah surprise , surprise to all you Cro-mags out there) and they lived til ripe old ages ( Dad is 89, grandad 96 other one 77 but didn't get shot by intruders he had a brain tumor))
