RE: The Miners of steemit & the ethical use of votes.

Leeches abound, I'm in a protracted battle with someone ripping off content from a site.

It seems that most of the low-effort leeches think that mirroring a post is sufficient. I disagree.

I'm not surprised that someone is self-voting themselves. The same parasite that I wrote about does the same thing with his posts and comments.

All this does is disincentivize people who actually put effort into the content they post. If it continues, then Steemit will go the way of MySpace, riddled with spam and self-votes.

The self voting was one of the worst changes made to the platform.

Yes man, you are right, however there are a few mechanisms in place.

Self vote when you have a good Proof of work (a post) I find ok, i do it, i'm lucky when one of my posts gets noticed, most of the times i get only the few cents from my vote.

This is what is worrysome for those that have used real money to make the platform grow (I'm one of those idiots).

And the abuse of posting 88 DOTS (like a 100 since he continues since this post) and self serving 1,6$ for a DOT a (.)

.

^^
I'm worth 1.64$ ?
