This is me last year and my brother Josh (making a silly face. ) That was back in Maine right before I moved to LA.

Just woke up need to make coffee. I normally do not make posts with little content, but I was thinking of just trying a discussion thread. Do I have to have a gazillion followers for that to work?
Anyway, good morning, where are you right now? What are you doing today? What do you think of Steemit and has the platform affected your life in any way? What are your interests? What is your blog about?

I am an artist. I used to care for people in their homes, and then in a hospital, but now I walk dogs for money. I was doing some motion graphics and selling my artwork as well. Today I am going to paint and clean and Mail a picture. And maybe work on a story.

Steemit is really exciting to me. I blog about art, life and wherever I am. Maine and Los Angeles mostly.

Hi twirble! I'm an artist who's all about side gigs, as well. When I was purposely houseless I would do house-sitting and watched peoples animals across the U.S., there's quite a few websites online that link you to people in need. I blog about a variety of topics that coincide with my interests but am recently doing a series showcasing street art in my hometown. Please check it out<3 Right now, I'm doing my morning steeming, replying to replies and going through my feed... It's become my morning ritual and one way steemit has changed my life :) Always enjoy your posts!! Cheers!

That sounds like fun, when I was younger I might have done something like that.

I love good street art. LA has a lot, and some LA artists have gotten really big. Will check your series out pronto!

At my old house waiting for tomorrow to go to my new house ; today @kerubez helped me to move some staff from house to house steemit have change my thoughts about what was an social network and the many type of opportunite you have here , engeeniering , sciencie , drawing ,sports photography... have good day

A new house!!! So exciting. Moving to a new place creates a whole new environment and a new start. If I want that now I have to rearrange my room.

Yes thats true but he main reason of moving its because i prefer leaving here:

THANK HERE:

You prefer leaving there or living....because my personal choice would be living. (Unless you are leaving for an awful reason like war, in which case forgive me.) I love the countryside. I love LA as well but I want to move back to nature eventually.

Hahaha sorry my english is not very good and I commit many grammar errors

I prefer LIVING on the outside surrounded by nature ;)

Oh good, that sounds so nice. I imagine you are too busy, but I would love to hear more about your new place at some point.

I was prepping for my new post today and I am done with it. Steemit has helped me find the writer part of me that has been buried since many years. Gazillion followers don't matter because most of them(unfortunately) wont comment or vote until you are a whale. An unfortunate fact but this is how life is.

I am a women of many interests like painting, stamp collection, travelling and scrap booking. For now I am only focusing on Painting since in this short period after joining Steemit, my infatuation with this hobby has grown manifolds.

You sound like someone I would have a lot in common with. The two subjects I love visiting on Steemit are the art and travel sections. The politics section depresses me because I have no energy to debate lately, and I do not want to get angry with people I am otherwise friendly with. It is so great that Steemit inspires so many people though. It inspired me to write yesterday, but then I lost 4 hours worth of writing and that messed me up. I just got inspired to write my story in the browser...big mistake. Look forward to you new post:)

I hope those 4 'lost' hours taught you a lot about yourself, your strengths, your weaknesses, Ideas you thought were great until you start writing on them etc. Give it a shot again may be not now but later. Most of the times i get the writer's block as well even though i wouldn't call myself much of a writer.
P.S My new post is online now :)

I was going to today but do not feel like it now. Maybe your post will inspire me...checking it.

Good evening :) Today was supposed to be my day off but I've ended up playing with Steem instead; I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm quite amazed at it so far, as I'm so used to Twitter and Facebook, which I feel do not encourage participation and creativity. Facebook seems very much a cross between passive consumption of clickbait and popularity contest; while Twitter is like riding a never ending mood swing filled with trolls. Both seem more and more like a waste of time. What do you think? This place reminds me a bit of DeviantArt when it still had community. I think I like it here.

Enjoy your coffee :)

I am not walking any dogs this week so I am working on making things for Steemit and taking pictures of old artwork so I have something to post on busy days.

I like the community on Steemit I am just looking for a fairly active chat where I can find all my buds. I want to bond with people a bit more on here.

hiya
may I ask where do you find painting jobs and how do you sell your art?
thanks =)

I rent a gallery space but I sold most of my best pieces so it has been dry the past few months. I honestly make more on Steemit lately. Hopefully, after the magazine with my work in it comes out I will generate more interest. Other artists I know make a lot of sales at art fairs. People go to art fairs specifically to buy art. Then there are big artists that show in the better galleries. For beginning artists, there are smaller galleries, bars and coffee shops that will put you in a group show or even a solo show. Or you could submit work to large galleries like the Hive and start our in their group shows and rent a space in the future if you wish. The Hive is a great space for new artists and a fun gallery.

Specific jobs you can get on Craigslist and I guess fivvr but they want to pay you bupkiss to nothing for your hard work.

ohh
thank you for the reply! i seriously have no idea what to do
thanks again :D

I had a friend who made money with Patreon donations, selling crafts on etsy and other places and commissions from tumblr. A lot of people love anime art on there. I have not had luck with that.
