I think the biggest problem with finding disrupters is that steemit is designed to silence dissent. Flagging and down voting hurts people monetarily, and there is no requirement of justification or harm to people who do the downvoting. Often, people will downvote simply because they disagree, and if you catch negative attention from a whale, you might as well quit steemit. It's not that it takes balls to dissent- on steemit it takes cash, or at least a willingness to lose cash.
