In Copenhagen, I have found so many doors that are so askew that you don't know if it's the door or the house or your self that is not in line whit reality.
This one is beside my favorite record shop, GUF, which I always visit when in Köben and have often wonder what it is about this door. It's like the two houses that meet there have been sinking slowly, but the doors stayed the same. Inside GUF the floor is ok and not askew so I don't know. But I love this door anyhow, one of my friends when visiting Köben. I look at it every time and think, yes, always as askew as usual, and I give it my thumb up. Keep on :)

This is a cool door nie shot
Haha I think the door jamb is tilted
Thanks for taking
This is indeed such a cool door
Thank you, JJ :)
I have another house on the eastern shore of Virginia, and the land over there is mostly on sea level or just above. The foundation to the house over there (built in 1869) was sinking ever so slightly. I never noticed until the door started looking like your door. So, perhaps the foundation of the house is sinking or the board to support it are rotting?
It is all possible.
Still, in all, I think it has lots of character! :)

Thank you, Denise! Yes I also think it's the foundation that is sinking, you even can see it on the pavement in front of the houses that they seem to be leaning on each other.
It wouldn't be a huge problem if these things were fixed as soon as it happens! But, like the people who owned our shore house, just left it and it continued to deteriorate! (We have since fixed it)
Hope you are having a splendid day! ;)
It appears as the center section is sinking like you suspected. The green doors appear to be plum, but the jamb is out of square. As a carpenter this drives me mad looking at it. However, if the foundation is bad it's big $$ to fix.
Do you have a photo of the upper portion of the building?
Sorry to say I don't have a photo of the upper portion of the building. But now when you mention it, I will have to look at it better next time I'm in Köben. But there are more houses and doors like this one in Köben, I will hopefully have time to post one today after work. And the great thing adout that door and house is that there is an even more askew window there and I will post it to in the same post.
I appreciate your attentiveness to unique things I love noticing funny details.
Thank you, @dreamingirwin :)
Doors fascinate me, especially old ones. Great photo and post. Upvoted :)
Thank you, Tina!
Nice old door photo! Weighty matters and the passage of time.
I just did my first non-photo post that might be interesting to you, at least for the sake of curiosity. If you have some time take a look and let me know your thoughts. https://steemit.com/anarchy/@johncongdon/how-easy-is-mind-control-way-too-easy-as-it-turns-out
Thank you, John! I will look at it as soon as I can, but at the moment "time" is not on my side. I'm always glad that people write blogposts, not just post photos. My English is my barrier, but I'm not going to let that stop my from writing, even tho I have not post any blog jet, but thy will come.
A door with character, for sure! Upped and steemed
Thank you, Melinda! Yes, with a character, that makes it special :)
