Hi, I'm Kao and I'm an alco... sorry, wrong group. I figured that despite doing nothing except lurking here since the split I would start out being active with a post showing how I diversify my portfolio of cryptocurrencies including what I currently hold, and why. I'm not going to include some of the ridiculous small amounts of dusts that are now in about a dozen different wallets on at least 3 separate chains, but I'll try to cover the major ones.
ETH (Ethereum)
This is the major one. This was my main holding until recently (I'll explain why below), pretty much ever since I lost faith in Bitcoin. There were many factors for that, but the hype never lived up to the expectations, and it was always overhyped. The breaking point for me was seeing that it was too inflexible and the power too centralized to actually make the changes that were needed for it to continue growing and for it to be practical. I'm not just talking about block size, although that was a major one.
XTZ (Tezos)
Currently my biggest holding, although that changes places with ETH quite often. I'd like to say that I am a huge proponent of holding your own keys and not trusting large exchanges, but I have it staked with one right now specifically because I want the rewards and the flexibility that offers. They step into a crowded space for what, as far as I can tell is their use case, as a utility token with smart contract support, but it's tough to say no to what is one of the best returns on a mainstream token right now.
BAT (Basic Attention Token)
Speaking of utility. I think I can confidently say that except for the crypto equivalent of /r/wallstreetbets, anyone with this token got it through Brave or because they are an advertiser buying ads from Brave. I actually have about $20 of this right now, not because I have great pride in the token or what it stands for, although I do love the Browser and the absolute paradigm destruction it brings, but because I think there's a fair chance that once they roll out the long awaited self service system for advertisers, it will increase substantially in value. Every month with my rewards payout, I keep part in BAT, while the rest goes to ETH.
HIVE (HIVE) and HP (HIVE Power)
The newest additions for me. I was going to put DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) on the list instead, but the incentive to keep currency staked, in the form of HIVE power is a strong allure. Everything that I earn on this chain will more than likely be staked to HP, which is perfectly fine with me.
Nice. I only own HIVE and HDB.

Do not miss the last post from @hivebuzz:
Welcome to hive. You should consider posting to leo.finance if it's about crypto. You will make both hive and leo tokens and most of the people who talk crypto seem to be over there.
I like Bat, and eth. I have considered Tezos but have never bought a bag yet. I still feel like Bitcoin will always do alright. But it will never be fast or capable of daps. Anyway welcome. Keep posting, nice to meet you.
Thanks, I checked it out and I will definitely do so in the future. I would cross-post this over there, but my understanding is that while Leo only shows its own content, hive.blog would show it here as well, and I don't want to double post the same story here twice; nor does the fact of removing their endpoint from the list indefinitely seem worth it.
I think it's the opposite. Where leo posts only go to Leo and since it's mostly about finance and crypto they don't have all the hive blog posts on there. But I posted my first post to Leo and it's. Ross posted it onto Hive so I can get both rewards. The one thing I did notice was that my post didn't show up on my blog, but only on my posts. People still seen it both places though.
