Our house was built in the 1990's which isn't too long ago, but there was a certain style tiles in the bathrooms with different colors and tile combinations that really didn't age well. Lucky for us our bathroom tiles were a natural color. I have seen blue, green and even purple with a matching toilet and basin! We have decided to re-do the bathroom ourselves with a low budget. Instead of re-tiling we have decided to paint the tiles.
Before:
Step 1:
Clean the surface with soap and water. Use a tile primer from your local hardware store and paint 2 coats to make sure that you have not missed a spot. Without this the new paint won't stick to the tiles.
Choose any enamel color at your local paint shop. Paint 2 coats. We first made a mistake by choosing a dark grey color. Rather choose a color that compliments your basin and toilet instead. Also keep in mind that a lighter color will make the bathroom look brighter and bigger.
After:
I will do a separate article on the screed-flooring in the picture above.
Happy painting!
Good change and the space has become wide and the colors are consistent I liked this very much a simple and well done work.

Your bathroom looks clean. You must be a very good DIY mom. DIY means "Do it Yourself" right?
Yes, do it youself, without any labourer or contractor. I normally starts the project then my husband will assist where he can. Loving it!
