My posts of late have revolved around tabletop games, but I have continued making jewelry as well, albeit at a slower pace.

This necklace did not go according to plan at all. I used a very thick braided leather cord, and I bought a set of end caps with clasps for the cord, but it turned out the end caps were too large. I wrapped some jewelry wire to increase the cord diameter and then used E-6000 glue to hold stuff in place. Then I had all kinds of trouble figuring out how to suspend the heavy, chunky medallion. I have remade this bit a half-dozen times and wasted a lot of wire. I am not happy with this result either, but I decided it was time to quit nonetheless. And then the magnetic clasp I bought wasn't strong enough to hold the necklace on, so I had to grab a spare toggle clasp and make do. It's done now, but not to my satisfaction in any respect.
This went a lot better. I again used the same heavy leather cord, but I used antiqued brass cord ends, a similarly colored bail, and a premade cameo pendant.
An ornate cameo pendant on a chain and a set of simpler turtle pendants on another.
And here we have three pairs of earrings. On the left is a pair with shoe charms and glass pearl beads. In the center is a simple pairing of an ear hook connected to charms that resemble the top of the Chrysler building for some art deco architectural chic. On the right is an ornate dangly chandelier earring pair with keys, medallion beads, and blue cat's eye beads.
What do you think? Comment below! I am even open to reasonable offers in STEEM or SBD if you want to buy these.
The pair with the keys and cat's eye beads are absolutely gorgeous. You're giving me ideas of my own.
Go for it! I think I got all the components other than the connector at Michael's.
I particularly like the first necklace. Are those runes on the medallion? I wonder where it came from.
It came from Joann Fabrics. And I very much doubt the symbols have any real meaning in any language. It does look interesting, though, and I suppose that's what counts.
Thanks for the information. That's right, the chain looks definitely interesting. The leather cord fits very well with the medallion.
nice stuff man. i know that feeling in regards to the first necklace. sometimes it has to be redone several times over before it comes out right! a chunky snake chain would look good with that pendant i reckon x
