Yucca shoes.

Am I the only person that feels that schools are on a personal quest to bankrupt parents? When my kid needs a school project it's my personal quest to both teach Him something, and not spend a bunch of money. For this project we used yucca from yard, and the rest is history. Once you get the weave started, these actually went together pretty fast. He liked them so much he wanted to wear them to school. Happy crafting. The video is not mine. It is where I got the idea. 20161025_195141.jpg20161025_182016.jpg![20161025_182016.jpg]20161025_191028.jpg

totally agree that schools nickle and dime us to death. I got the local PTA to stop selling crappy jewelry, candles and gift wrap. I convinced them the community will simple buy tickets to events, give cash to the big 7th grade trip and donate for tour buses to visit museums...that people we sick of cookie dough and soda sales with only 10% of the earnings actually funded the events these things were being held for, and what do you know? the yard sales and ticket sales have generated more funds for these ventures. That said...yes...I'm sick to death of science projects done by parents with big time equipment, fancy posters with $30 plus of art supplies on them...it's a silly waste of resources!

You said it better than I!

GREAT! Make a video on this. We are homeschoolers as the whole system is built on debt and to keep you there. They program your kids to always be in debt. Great post!

I would feel like I was stealing this guys content if I did a video.

Not my video. Where I got the Idea .

Video on how to do this?

Awesome! Thanks!

Thanks, not my video. Where I got the Idea.

Great project!

Super cute idea! This would be good for a lot of homeschooling groups out there as well who often do group projects that they try and keep low-budget. I'll def share with the ones I know.
