Hey Ya'll,
In this video is a water purifier we made for the No Budget Homestead. It is pretty easy to make and only takes about an hour or two to make. You can use any size stainless steel stock pot or even plastic 5 gallon buckets.
I got the idea from "TheBossOfTheSwamp" Channel on YouTube.
I used two 16 quart stainless steel stock pots from Walmart. I also found an all stainless steel spiquot on Amazon for a really good deal. The actual water filters are from Berkey. I bought two black berkey water filters with the Flouride and Arsenic filter attachments also. This will filter as much of the "bad stuff" as possible. I currently only put tap water through it, however, it can handle much dirtier water should the need arise. After all you never know when you will need to filter water to make it clean enough to drink.
I used the following tools:
Right Handed Tin Snips (red handle to cut one of the metal lids)
1/2" Drill bit (for the spiquot hole)
3/8" Drill bit (for the filter holes)
Cordless Drill
File (to smooth out the sharp edges)
Channel Lock pliers (to tighten the spiquot nut)

That's a very smart idea. How often will the filters need changing?
The water filters are rated at approximately 3,000 gallons. That is a lot of water! :-)
excellent and simple. Just what I'm looking for! Thank you
Your Welcome. I like to keep things as simple as possible. Thanks for watching!! God Bless!
