DIY- I tiled the office

in #diy8 years ago

Hi Guys

Today was my DIY day. I have been watching DIY programs for long as they have been on Tv. So with this pent up knowledge waiting to be put into practice , and opportunity presented itself today. The office carpets had totally seen its years of service and were removed exposing the raw floor boards some of which you will see in the pics below had to be replaced.

For those of us just starting in DIY tiling , there is this brilliant self adserve tiles. It removes the hassle of mixing tile fix and you can cut it into place with a pair scissors.

They come in 1 square meter packs.

Guys please take the time and remove dust of the floor to ensure that adserve tile makes proper contact with the floor boards.

All the DIY shows will tell you to find the center point the room and that is your starting point. That's True!
I have proof...

I stuck my first Square down.

I placed the first tile dead center and stuck the tiles around that very first , and step by step , I am mean tile by tile I go....

very nice

Interesting, I've always been a fan of the real deal. It also looks like you did some patchwork fix of the subfloor, how well did these stick on tiles adjust to even areas of your subfloor?
