Hello @diyhub community, the hot temperature finally dropped and I could paint!
This painting of kittens was on my mind months ago, in fact I entered into unknown territory, since this is a larger style and color palette than I usually use for large paintings with a lot of contrast.
Something super strange also happened, what seemed like a simple project turned into a 2 day marathon and a total of 20 hours, especially the details.
For this painting I used everything:
. acrylic paint
. 1 mt by 1.5 m mdf wood
. thick and thin markers
. Brush and various brushes
. White Liquid Eraser
. Black eyebrow pencil
Procedure:
This mdf was a collage of photos, I removed them all, cleaned the wood well with a dry cloth and applied a coat of gray acrylic.
When drying, with a standard size brush I made several vertical rectangles of different sizes and when drying, others above the first ones.
The details of the eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth, ears and mustaches consist of geometric figures.
At first I thought about making the eyes oval... but I decided to paint huge eyes that remind me of my cats' faces when they want something or when they "talk" to me.
The technique here is mixed. I let my imagination fly.
I hope you like the result and thank you very much for reading me 💕
