Tesla might be dominating the electric vehicle market at the moment. That could change in the near future. Volkswagon is about to transform itself into the largest producer of EVs. With a 44 billion Euro investment, they are committed to taking the lead in this realm.

VW is going to put a hurting on Tesla. They might be after different markets but Tesla cannot build at the capacity VW can.
This vehicle really looks nice. And the plans are interesting, too. But I'm in doubt that VW will dominate in EV market in near future. The same plans like now they introduced few years ago and they realised nothing. E-golf is a creep of vehicle with very small range, less than 200 km and they simply not have enough powerful batteries developed. Tesla will dominate next five years for sure.
