Cowboys executive VP Stephen Jones is confident that a deal with Ezekiel Elliott will get done before the season opener on Sept. 8, though the sides are not currently close as there's not much activity going on between them. The offer being made by the Texas Cowboys could make Elliot the second highest paid running back.
