The New York Mets entered their second offseason under General Manager Brodie Van Wagonen. Last year he opened up with a blockbuster trade for Robinson Cano and Edwin Diaz.
This year is a bit more under the radar. Brodie is filling holes on the team as opposed to trying to make a splash. The signing of Dellin Betances helps a bullpen was absolute awful.
With the BP receiving some help and a couple of starting pitchers signed, there still is a couple of slots needed filling. They need, for example, a back up catcher.
