St. John's got an added boost thanks to the NCAA.  This is going to help Mike Anderson in his first season as head coach.

The NCAA granted Rasheem Dunn eligibility after first denying it.  This gives Anderson a third scorer which he sorely needed.

St. John's is not expected to contend in the Big East this season.  They are actually chosen by many to finish last.  Anderson was brought in to change the dismal fortunes of a school that was once a national powerhouse.

Anderson never had a losing season in his college coaching career, a time that spans 17 years.  Adding in the transfer Dunn offers the hope that he will make it 18 in a row.
