It is with great sadness that it was announced that Charles Rogers died at the age of 38.
He was a star Wide Receiver for Michigan State before going on to a career with the Detroit Lions in the NFL.
His career in the NFL was marred by injuries, resulting in him lasting just 4 seasons with the Lions. He was the #2 pick overall.
Rogers died of liver failure. He was given 30 days to live if he didnt get another liver. He also had cancer. It is unclear if that was what caused the problem with the liver.
