It may seem like a great idea to self-vote your comments. Hey, you get all the value back and you get sent to the top of the user's page! Isn't that nice? Well, all the reasons Nathan gave you not to do that are valid ones, and I'm about to give you another: people who are a lot less nice than he is will come along and flag away the value of your vote. So not only don't you get it, neither do the nice people you might have voted on if you were valuing their content. You have 77% self-votes, so you're clearly not approaching the concept of voting as a way to reward other users and grow the community. Please change.
Gah! I almost followed you from your first comment, until I saw this comment and saw that you gave yourself 100% upvotes (but that you're not really giving upvotes to others).
A piece of advice.
The follow for follow type of comments are frowned upon on this platform and this platform doesn't need more people who are mostly interested in paying themselves rather than making great content and supporting other people's content.
When you make a comment, make sure the comment is interesting, relevant (in that it shows that you actually watched/read/listened to the post) and doesn't ask for a follow back.
Why?
Because when you ask for a follow back you expose your ulterior motives for commenting in the first place. It's disingenuous. And besides, you should only follow someone if you are genuinely interested in them and the content they make, not because you want something in return.
Having a large following here that doesn't care about you is completely pointless and won't earn you more money either.
Not only that, but you will be completely ignored by scouts of great communities that really help you grow your account. I am a scout, but I blacklist people who demand follow for follow or upvote for upvote.
I hope this advice helps you on your path here in Steemit.
Blessings
