The event is a 1v1, best of 3, double elimination, online tournament in Smash Bros Wii U. MMG's admins & commentators host a live stream and 1 match per round on stream while other matchups take place off stream. The Twitch and DLive chats are sure to be lively, and questions will be ringing in from discord prior to the start of tonight's event. Free to Play - 2018 MMG Rules
In an effort to keep MMG events free to play for all competitors, we have moved our registration process to the Steem Blockchain in 2018. This means that after a players has competed in 3 free events in 2018, they must then contribute to the MMG community by making a Steemit account and upvoting MMG's event posts that they compete in. Players that do not wish to do this have 2 other options: one, is to make a donation to MMG for any amount(yes we will accept a penny, stop asking), two, a player may sub to MMG on Twitch.tv, all Twitch.tv subs will be permitted to play in free 2 play events. Players that do not do one of these options by their 4th event will be placed on probation, which lasts for 2 events. The first event on probation, a player will forfeit 50% of prize earnings unless able to show proof of Steemit registration or the player has made a donation to the stream prior to the event starting(rewards earned that night can not be used as leverage). After the 5th event, if a player does not do one of the aforementioned process they will be barred from MMG's next free 2 play event.
About Tonight's Event
There's been a power struggle going on the MMG Smash Bros. community. With the addition of Zeke and Jade (commander ducky) at the end of 2017, LNIM was dethroned as the number 1 player in 2018 by Zeke. After 2 weeks LNIM was able to take back the title of MMG's Number 1, with help from a mostly absent Zeke. Now, LNIM is back at numero uno, and Zeke is seeded at number with Jade, and BuckyZachBoss trailing behind for 3rd and 4th.
About half an earnings gap away is MMG's King of The Hill, Hydrocity, who has yet to place first in a Sunday event in 2018.
