Then I suppose you wouldn't mind a simple change to make the stakes more fair. Instead of the current system that puts things on the front page, how about things instead be chronologically ordered as they're posted without things sticking up at the top for very long at all? Would you be in favor of something like this?
You are viewing a single comment's thread from:
What? That makes 0 sense. This place is run by upvotes.
Makes perfect sense to me, granted I already knew you'd say something like that. How did I know? Because I can merely look at your voting power and easily determine you literally like the system just the way it is, because you already heavily benefit from the lack of fairness with the algorithms that push your content for me to see when I don't even follow you.
You don't want a freshly cycled front page with the newest content regardless of account age or SP because you're quite cushy there at the top. Making it more fair means you actually have to work harder like the rest of us to get your content seen and you don't like that do you?
How dare a small fry like myself suggest a better and more equitable system that provides a better potential for spreading new content from numerous creators to have a better shake. How dare I, someone who already networks with commenting and the like, suggest a system that would vastly improve the system that would rock that foundation so more fresh content is easier to find?
You called me entitled. But someone with an account with more power than my own (you) feels entitled to that front page spot because now that you are where you are, you don't want the competition.
Maybe you can't compete when the playing field isn't stacked in your favor?
I have worked hard for almost a year at this place. I have not got anything delivered on a silver spoon. I have sacrificed months at this place. I have even lost my home because of dedication to this place. I have no idea what you are talking about. I have took risks, built connections, worked hard and used my own capital. This conversation is over.
Great to see you also abuse the flagging system as well. Interesting. So you are a Steemit abuser. Good to know, this will be good information that everyone needs to see.
Disagree with someone is not abuse lol. It's built into the Steem Blockchain. If you can't handle a Stake based system with downvotes and upvotes then this place is not for you. Play a victim is something people do on Twitter. Doesn't work on Steemit. Attacking stake holders will not make them agree with you. A smarter idea is to try to understand people. But you come across as entitled and fails to realize nobody is unique. I am not interested in hearing more victim mentality. So thanks for the conversation I have detected you don't read responses. So there is nothing more I can say.
Hurr, the downvote system isn't meant to flag someone who disagrees with you.
I'm not even trolling you, you and I have a vastly different idea of what a more balanced system would be and how that should be achieved and you flagging my comment for mere disagreement on how things should be run is considered abuse whether you like it or not. You are an abuser of the system and you have proven it.
You are a Steemit abuser. Shame!
Disagreement on rewards, I disagree with potential rewards and I think you spread false information and propaganda.
@the-oracool that came and downvoted. Are you implying I'm lying? Just curious.
I am flagging you because it is my freedom to do so, and I have more money than you.
Imagine if I had 1000 times more money than you, and I flagged all of your posts every single day, because I didn't like you. The "community" is supposed to be the defensive barrier to stop unfair flagging. Unfortunately it doesn't work, and you keep putting effort in your posts, and I keep flagging you until you are forced to leave the platform.
Isn't that fun?
And you call this guy "entitled" as you are flagging him... Think about it.
Do you think I did something wrong? If so say so. If you look at the original comment that I downvoted it was because it attacked me as a person. I did not do so in the comment I wrote. I wrote that he came across as entitled.
You are missing the point.
I am showing you a flaw in the system. You don't have to do anything wrong, yet I can still flag you. If I wanted to, I could invest all my money in steem to make sure you never make another penny.
Now imagine i'm a whale, and you did something to actually piss me off. It wouldn't take much.
