Actually humans can choose to be vegetarians (even if most of them don't), whereas hornets can't choose ...
Predators hunting prey is part of nature, it's the everlasting cycle of life and death, of eat and be eaten ... Every predator (apart from us humans, who tend to destroy more than we rebuild) plays an important role for the ecological equilibrium.
Nevertheless, I love bees and try to offer them as many as possible flowering plants in my garden. :)
