The pole and aerial community love their shapes! It is amazing how many ways the human body can be twisted and maneuvered both on the pole and off the pole in dance. Some of the bendiest pole dancers are basically doing contortion around the pole! The community is very active in their search for more shapes and new tricks all the time, and once someone comes up with a new trick, it often will become the "popular" trick to try at the moment.

Today's pole combo features the very popular airwalk (which has many variatons) and the helix. Helix involves grabbing the pole under a leg hook and arching your back to grab the other leg. Some poler's can straighten the back leg almost, but that is still a work in progress for me. Thanks for watching my friends :)

Love this twist. So many kinds of moves and twists to learn. I can't believe people came up with these moves. Incredible how our bodies can do all kinds of things.
