It is what it is right? But no matter what they have helped a lot of creators and the platform was always good. So I am thankful for all the support they gave me and wish them all the best :)
I'm sure it's a bummer for a lot of people but for me personally? Meh... I like @dtube a lot better anyway. I just hope it's not the first domino.

Cool. The more I think about it, the more I think that this is a great opportunity for @dtube if they step up to the plate right now and start hitting more home runs with more and more new features. All the attention is on them for a while... If they snooze, someone else will fill @dlive's shoes and @dtube will have to share the video content again here on steem.

This is the major issue Dlive highlighted on steemit platform...where voting get manipulated by Bots and good content remain at bottom side of steemit....up to some level i agree with them...After all it is their choice.
Great job covering the situation! Personally I'm pretty neutral about the situation. @dlive did a lot of cool things for the STEEM blockchain and showed us something that was possible. I always expected some of these projects to end up on their own chain. At the end of the day it can become hard to share the reward pool with others. I don't know if their governance model and payout system will work over there but for the most part I look at it like this.
We can join Lino and upload over there as well as on DTube and earn on two blockchains for the same video and extend our reach. Maybe it ends up being something big or maybe they can't get the wealth base to the token so the payouts are negligible. Working with Vice right now it is very clear how crucial those first few weeks can be on launching a chain properly and not ending up with super whales.
We will see what happens .

What it sounds like to me is LINO had a 20 million dollar ICO, then they used a portion of that money to buy DLive. The guy selling DLive is a part of the LINO team.

These platforms just can't grow enough on Steem due to restricted registrations on Steem. Until this gets faster, services like Dtube and Dlive cannot get enough traction.
Of course, that’s set to change the day they leave, as HardFork 20 takes effect and would have allowed them to register plenty of new accounts directly themselves through their own site.
As others have pointed out and have explained thoroughly in other articles, evidence is clear dLive always intended to only use Steem as a test and early marketing. Their leaving was preplanned and has little to nothing to do with any shortcomings of Steem.

I never used Dlive. I'm happy with D.tube, as long as they stick around. I think Steemit is a little more resilient than that. There's a pretty strong community here. Yea, there are disagreements, but nothing we can't work through.

It dose not effect me, I doubt I ever even watched a video Dlive. I am sorry to see it go for those who do use the service though. But given the nature of the Steem block chain I am sure we will see a replacement for Dlive in the near furture

Can someone tell me the gist of what was announced. THe post is hidden due to low ratings and clicking on "Show" does not show it. I have no idea of the ins and outs, of why it's moving and how that affects a Steemit user and why we need to revoke access. Thanks :)
Left of Dlive from steemit does not hurt me because it is the beauty of Blockchain that Everybody is free to move to some.
Steemit do not need Dlive for its identity but Dlive needs Steemit for their identity , if they left it is their choice.

This was news to me. Kinda crazy man! But I never got into Dlive much, always liked DTube. I wish them luck. It definitely stinks for those who have support DLive so much though.

For me is a sad day. My major content is based on streaming and video's related to gaming and now this? I wasn't upload videos on śrubę because i don't like that mu video isn't only avible for one month, and if I wanna keep it longer - still I have use Youtube to have backup. And now I don't have option to go with my videos. At least @Vimm is for steamers
I don t get their reason for changing to that other blockchain. One of their arguments is that they want content creators to be rewarded by tips ... Well it s possible to send tips with steem too ... without any transaction fee.
A other point they did mention is that they leave because users with a lot of Power are only self upvoting. Well I don t like that too ... but I don t think this is going to change at the new chain. Lets say there are to users. User A: 1000Lino User B: 0Lino. Now User A does tip 1000 Lino to User B. After that the User B will return the 1000 Lino to User A as a tip. Well now User A has 1000 Lino and User B 0 Lino just as we started. BUT now both will get a share of the inflationpool because they both got 1000Lino as tip. This will be exploited even more than the selfupvoting.

Damn... I was planning to find new ways to organize my videos and upload more to DLive, while attempting to treat it differently than my DTube account... I actually liked that DLive and DTube were both alternate platforms using Steemit (and the Steem blockchain) so I will miss DLive.
Well, sort of, I am going to see about continuing to use DLive, I welcome the idea of using multiple platforms, and in a way this just makes DLive a more "different" different platform. So I will see what happens.
Still I was more comfortable with the status-quo where DLive was on the Steem blockchain along with DTube and DPorn.
Anyway, I'm hoping for the best.

Incredible, they go just like that, and those people who were working, for example, many Venezuelans were creating good content through @dlive. I wish you all the best, that is why I always preferred @dtube, nothing more to the naked eye than the purple color I do not like :)
I don't buy the share thing , the only reason Dtube , Dlive and Bichute exsists was because all the alternative media fled refuge to these channels , the corperate media and China bought them out , it's that simple. They'll try to buy you out first to crossover then if that don't work then they'll just censor you. Nobody is safe , let's see if Dtube will bite and cross over.
