Well there is an easy answer. It's @Dlive. I have tried out many different platforms such as LBRY, Minds, DTube, and more. LBRY has little to no infrastructure currently, Minds is great, but is more of a social platform than a dedicated video hosting one, DTube lacks infrastructure but it much further along than LBRY however their staff, curation, and general sentiment seemed less than attentive and potential unethical. I'm not even tagging them so I don't get heat for pointing it out.
For a long while I was clearly under the misconception that DLive was just a live streaming platform. After closer inspection I realize that while that is their main demographic, their regular video hosting has a smoother UI, easier to use, faster, is more reliable, and I'm not just posting in hopes that DTube will upvote and still take a massive portion of my rewards (DTube is 25%, DLive is 10% I believe).
How Easy Is It To Use?
I'd love to show you all just how easy it is to use @DLive by going through my upload process for my music account @Scottychams
Then I drag and drop my video on to this (MP4 Format)
You will see your video preview and the uploading bar etc as well as the URL when it generates and stats for later.
Below is the more important fields. You have your thumbnail to upload for your preview / cover image that will display on DLive and Steemit and be used for previews on social media sites. You will fill out your title and description like you normally would find. You can set an age restriction if you feel your video falls under NSFW. You can then set a category to give people a better idea of what your content will be, set your tags and the language of the video.
Something I did find interesting was I didn't hit a tag limit. I only tried maybe 10, but it didn't matter as after when I go to add my extra stuff later I have to remove the extra tags, however they stay visible in DLive so I'm not sure exactly if it works or not, but yeah that is something to experiment with I guess. Then you just submit and you're good to go!
In conclusion though I think it's really easy to use and is by far the fastest and most efficient video hosting platform on Steemit that I know of. It may very well be the best on the blockchain, so big ups to @DLive I would love to get involved in your marketing and help support where I can!
Let me know your experiences with DLive and if you know any other quality video hosting platforms for Steem and or on the blockchain.

Proxy And Running For Witness
Proxying your vote is pretty simple you just go to https://steemit.com/~witnesses navigate to the bottom and type in a username here:
I have started to take an active interest in Steem witnesses treating them as future global decentralized politics. If you don't want to learn or bother to stay up to date with it, but do not want your vote wasted then you can make me your proxy to vote on your behalf! If you believe in me as a witness kindly vote for me by going to https://steemit.com/~witnesses and voting for me at the bottom by typing in my ‘scottcbusiness’
I agree with you. I am constantly frustrated by dtube. It’s really a shame because there are great creators there. It’s just too difficult to use both for uploading and watching/commenting.
Yeah and I was having to still rely on YouTube, whereas DLive seems to solve most of my issues
That’s awesome. I started here intending to make dtube videos and quickly fell back to YouTube. I downloaded a streaming app on my iPhone I’m going to see if it works with Dlive.
True! And yeah I felt the same, need a way to do it without youtube
I hear there's another developing on the blockchain as well. I don't see anything wrong with using all of them + embedding from youtube or vimeo. Yes, multi-posting. Because we all don't use the same platforms and they each have pros and cons. Unfortiunately, steemit is the tor of the dark-blockchain. We see everything show up we ever post even accross apps. It's unavoidable to have duplications. Now it would be good to multipost also because sometimes Dtube doesn't load and I want to watch something now. And you can't embed one post into another. Likewise, some people are boycotting one platform but not another. So why not spread your content around? For those concerned about multiple upvotes for the same content on different platforms, I quote the FAQ:
I'm still waiting for those who say it's all about others to make me the other that it's all about -- still waiting. Hey, just keeping it 100.
Yeah but no audience wants to be jerked around. For the longest while no one could watch my DTube videos due to lag, I had to add Youtube embeds and then everyone said they just watched those on my DTube posts, making it pointless. DLive is the first platform that I can consistently use and rely on that doesn't loop me around to still using centralized platforms like Youtube to keep my level of quality
I believe you can host your own files on as.many servers or computers as you like with IPFS. If you have enough boxes the files won't ever come down. What is the point of dlive if you don't host your own videos? It's not decentralized. Might as well call it centralized live.
So what are you suggesting the general public do? They won't be hosting their own
as a professional social media marketer I'm thinking long term, I'm thinking mass adoption
So Dlive is good.Thank you.
Yes :)
I have no special idea about this. But I learn new something from your article.
Thank you so much for the sbd ! I am still trying to understand my way around Steemit and sbd and steem power etc, but I want you to know I appreciate it all. You have been such an amazing encouragement...with your contests and sbd and kind messages. Keep up the music and sharing your videos!
Thanks so much I do what I can :)
How great for you to have released this post. I am getting ready to do a video for either later today or tomorrow. It will actually be my first contest that I do using video. I have used dtube in the past, but under your suggestion, I will use Dlive for this one as long as I can figure it out. As always thank you for your informative post. You're doing great work around here and for that I am thankful and grateful. You inspire me daily to better myself and be more successful. I hope you have a wonderful day and keep up all of you good work. To send you and all of yours all of my love.
Thanks so much John, as you can see my last two videos were shared on Dlive for my music account. I find it's faster, and easier so I highly recommend it.
Very easy. And for a non-techie, that's saying a lot. LOVE DLive.
Yeah I think it has to be very accessible to the general public and DLive does a good job of it
Dude thank you for this! I'm going to try this out
Let me know how it goes!
Good post
📯
Very good
👌
Awesome :) cheers
Dlive has a horrible interface for viewers.
They never separate live streams from the published ones and have no custom feed for streams And recorded content like YouTube . Makeing it almost impossible to consume content. I find all of the dlive content from steemit's interface. Also dlive doesn't load into the bsteem application but dtube does. Another factor. Most Dlive streamers don't know what ipfs is so the content is centralized. While many of the dtube people host their own videos in decentralized manner. Also another issue I have when promoting both sites many people have a hard time with the names. Another major issue is dlive already got hacked and the hacker went and spent all the steem power. Is this a company that really knows what it is doing? If they are such noobs to get hacked this late in the crypto game. Let me remind everyone how people lost all their life savings on My Gox. And again more recently with BitGrail.
Interesting take, seems a little biased, but I'll take it
I'm not biased. I've never made a cent off either site. This is just my opinon. I'd love for both sites to change the name, Get a better interface, and encourage users to host the files, as well as secure their networks so the hacking doesn't happen.

Dlive needs better interface, maybe they are still in there early development stage but it doesn't look that overwhelming. Well that's my personal opinion about Dlive.
mmmm true, fair enough
You are awesome. Love your stuff.
Thanks! Cheers
Tried the other Steemit sound platforms but have found safe harbor at DLive. LOVE their video upload option too.
Thanks, @scottcbusiness. Already RT'd your tweet that led me here.
Awesome, thanks! And yeah I've struggled to find a great sound platform. DSound is great but you have to use your own node
Thanks for the discussion about Dtube...I am just getting started out using it myself and appreciate the discussions and comments.
For sure, glad to be of help :)
yeah you keep up go on your chosen planning and I just follow, resteem, and write general comment by noting it is good posting
haha sounds good :)
Интересно, разберусь.
Good post.
Thanks!
