It's taken a while to finally finish this little action movie, but I hope the waiting time was totally worth it and you'll fully enjoy the following 3:19 minutes.
To me glaciers are one of the most impressive natural phenomena on Earth, and having the possibility to come close to them is absolutely unique. Skiing down these snow covered giants is pure freedom that yields a decent portion of adrenaline and endorphines.
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy a ticket to the Alps - and that's pretty much the same I'd say...:-)
All these impressions and emotions from my recent trip to Switzerland are packed in one video clip, accompanied by some powerful electronic beats provided by the fellow steemian and music producer @mindseye-music. Et voilá: The Glacier Gig!

The village that bundles all the gondolas and lifts I've used in the video, is called Saas-Fee. It's a small, romantic, car-free village. I've more footage where you can even see the infrastructure, so supposedly I'll have to do a follow-up video :-)

You are absolutely right, video editing is extremely time-consuming, but still: the journey is the reward. I had so much fun producing these clips and also editing them afterwards, so the time was wisely spent.

Amazing! Frozen wilderness. I bet even though its cold, all that physical activity keeps you a little warm. And you look tanned haha. I guess all that direct sunlight and reflection of light from the snow and ice would do that.

Actually my skin's tanned all the time, since I spend lots of hours outdoors on my little island :-) Still I caught a decent amount of sunlight in the Alps, too. So maybe it's a combination of both...

Hehe, freut mich, dass es genau diese Assoziationen bei Dir geweckt hat :-) Ich hatte wirklich Glück mit dem Wetter! Zunächst strahlender Sonnenschein, dann heftige Schneefälle mit reichlich Neuschnee und dann wieder traumhaftes Wetter mit der Option den frischen Schnee auszuprobieren - unbezahlbar!
Wenn diese Reisen nicht so teuer wären, könnte man das jede Woche machen :-P

DTube and DLive are two applications built on the Steem blockchain.
You can use both to publish video content, but only DLive enables you to publish live streamings. I love the DLive community, there are a lot of nice people around. So I can totally recommend to use it :-)
