The Jokili as emblematic figure of the carnival of Endingen, south of Germany, has its origin in the carnival of the fifteenth century when the street theaters were made in this town.
This custom arrives in Colonia Tovar, Venezuela in 1977 when the Association of Harlequins of Colonia Tovar becomes official. A Jokili club "with the same orientation and spirit of the famous Jokili Verein of Endingen, in his beloved Kaiserstuhl Germany".
