Yes, they are arguing over whether to turn schools from low security prisons into medium security prisons.
Public schools are prisons. They're not really meant to teach students or make them better people or anything. The primary legal function of public schools is to forcibly lock up children all day while their wage slave parents are at work.

You are not free to leave in a prison.
You are not free to leave a school.
What are you talking about? If you are sick or have something important to take care of, you can leave.
When was the last time you checked on this information?
I have heard many stories from schools recently, that protocols in the schools they tell me, are the same for a light security prison.
A parent can no longer just go to the class room and get their child.
I have heard of many times that the school has held a child hostage until one of the parents showed up.
Heard of stories of kids getting beaten up for diss'ing the guards?
I do and will continue to pick my kid up from school if I need to. I don't think you fully understand what prison is.
