I am trying to start an amateur documentary/youtube series on serious health conditions, what do you think?

Hello Steemit Community!

I'm brand new here and thought I would test the waters of the community by asking a very serious and semi-vulnerable question. I have been surrounded by people who have been dealt a difficult hand in life with either auto-immune disorders, cancer, accidents that have left the person immobile, etc. I've always been quite curious with how some people can mentally cope with it in comparison to others, eg. being able to stay cheerful, being able to see the bigger picture, being able to find satisfaction and not let their situation get them down.

So I have a pretty awesome amateur camera setup (gh5, 3 lenses, some audio gear, etc.) and I really want to take it upon myself to find people who have serious conditions and shine a light on them in the hopes of helping and inspiring other people in the same or similar situations. I also thought that I would start each episode off with a quick and edgy summary of the condition to help people who may have been recently diagnosed with the issue and give them a quick lesson on what is going on with their body.

What do you think about the idea? I'm considering putting it up on kickstarter or similar sites because I think I'm going to need a bit of help with putting it together.

I just really want to help people and I feel like this is something that I may be able to pull off.

Thanks for reading and any comments!

I love documentaries! I have some family members with bad illnesses and it's always good to educate and raise awareness. Welcome to steemit!

Thanks Lemony! Appreciate it. I'll make sure to send it your way when I finish my first episode!
