My Rhodesian Ridgeback Jed was a beast of a dog, weighing in at over 140lb (10 stone) you certainly wouldnt want to mess with him, but he was such a gentle giant. He's had a beautiful nature, a real character, affectionate and full of fun.
He was loyal and I could trust him with my life, nobody could even approach my little girl when she walked him, he was like her bodyguard.
I still miss him to this day, and its taken me over 2 years to feel I was ready to have another dog, I'll always love the Ridgeback breed they are totally amazing, so easy to look after and they dont need much exercise at all the just love sleeping.
However after Jed I felt i could never replace him with another Ridgeback, so from the big easy going gentle giant i now have a very loving totally crazy, hyperactive nutcase of a Springer Spaniel Puppy called Charlie.
So cute and such a handsome dog, but his middle name is "Little Shit" this guy just doesn't know when to stop. However this year he's in for a treat, iv'e tasked myself with climbing 30 mountains in the next 12 month so i cant think of a better trekking buddy than little Charlie, who knows i might even wear him out. !!
An interesting post Jeff. Love the difference between the two breeds and as you know have a massive amount of empathy at the moment whist we try and raise our "little bastard" max the JR Terrier!
Love that comment, it really made me laugh,
He is a lovely little dog, you need to stop giving him shit
what an adorable little shit.
Thank you Mark, he is adorable, its his saving grace that has kept him off Ebay these past weeks, although I was tempted to put him up for sale last week when he chewed his way through my wallet !!!
Great read, he looks full of mischief.
Awwwww 😍
