The Dogo Argentino also known as the Argentine Mastiff, is a large, white, muscular dog that was developed in Argentina mainly for the purpose of big-game hunting, including wild boar and puma. Dogos typically stand between 23 and 27 inches at the shoulders and weigh anywhere from 80 to 100 pounds. This large dog breed is almost always pure white, which makes it especially easy to identify in the forest or field.
They descended from the Cordoba Fighting Dog and a number of other breeds, which were cross-bred in the 1920s to create a courageous, tenacious, fearless dog that could pursue and bring down dangerous wild predators while at the same time serving as a trustworthy and stable family companion.
This powerful breed is quite athletic and agile for its size and can cover distances quite easily. Still relatively rare, they respond best to good dog training and typically are quite gentle with and fond of children.
Though they are strong and athletic, the Dogo was bred to be non-aggressive towards humans. Surprisingly, it is illegal to own a Dogo in the United Kingdom under their Dangerous Dogs Act of 1991. With its dog-fighting ancestry, dog aggression can be a problem.

Oh you are a dog lover too. My dogs are mostly the medium sized ones. My 2 new dogs are a pur bred dachshund and a mix shitzu. I would love to have a Dogo they look so fierce but I read the are gentle too.
