My puppy, LittleGuy Buckeye

c151wfg4lw.jpgHere Little is just a few days before turning 6 months. He and I just watched Ohio State lose the Orange Bowl before I took this picture of him. So that’s why he’s not so happy. But he was given a 0% chance of seeing 6 months old when he turned 9 weeks old. That is because when he was 9 weeks old and I only had him for 1 week, he got quite sick. He got pneumonia and I had to take him to The Ohio State University Veterinarian Hospital and he spent 21 days in the ICU. Before taking him to the hospital, the 2 days prior I had to force feed him and tend to his every need. During his terrible hospitalization, I believe he was treated quite the same since I paid for 24 hour continuous care for him on top of whatever treatment that was necessary for him. So long story short, LittleGuy is quite the spoiled dog after his miraculous complete recovery from which upon admitting him to the hospital he had a zero percent chance of leaving. My love for my dogs is like a father has for a son. So I would do anything for him or his much older brother to ensure their health and well-being. LittleGuy is 5 and a half today. He’s made a 100% recovery. He now thinks everything is for him and that is due to his delicate situation after leaving the long and very expensive hospital stay. As you will see in the photos of LittleGuy after this sentence, he’s not only recovered completely but has flourished from the horrific sickness that every doctor he had has since told me that not one of them expected him to leave the hospital as he did. Hope you enjoy his photos. I have put them in order as he grew older starting with the one above. 2nwve1uolv.jpg As you maybe can tell, he has his own room and his very own Tempurpedic. Actually both of my boys have their own rooms and beds like they were normal children. Since I do not have children they reap the benefits quite obviously. 25sdeqo2zt.jpg The last picture posted, he was close to 3 years old and very small for his age. This next one is LittleGuy after his fourth birthday. In between 3 and 4 he grew immensely. He was 16 pounds before turning 3. He grew 4 inches taller that year and weighed in at 46 pounds on his 4th birthday. After that growth spurt he is now the size he is supposed to be. 24vgzsp60z.jpg This next one will be the last photo and it’s him eating a treat on his bed. You will see he’s starting to turn into my little Porker, lool. It’s amazing that for 2 days plus a week and a half of his hospitalization, he had to be force fed. Now he does not miss a meal or even a minute of his meal time. For me, I am just so thankful he is here with his brother and me, that if he wants to snack a bit more, be wild with his toys or feel he’s entitled to everything in my house, well Maxx and I are ok with it. But now that Maxx is 15 years old, now I am getting petrified about his health. I’ll show Maxx and his story after this but a short bit later. I hope those of you that read this found it interesting and enjoyed reading about LittleGuy. eb7btzmzx7.jpg Thank you.
