As most of you are aware I write a lot on health and in my introduction, I mentioned being a prolific writer covering many topics. Starting today I am going to do just that. Still staying with health, but, pet health. I will be providing snippets and photos of different species of animals that hopefully you will enjoy and learn something from.
Dog Teeth:
Cleaning dog teeth is simple. It is no different to how you would clean your own. The only differences in this situation is the products used, and that you’re a human being and the dog an animal.
Basic Dog Teeth Cleaning Tips:
Purchase a pet dog toothbrush with soft bristles and toothpaste. Before the clean starts moisten the brush. Don’t use a hard bristle brush in case of accidental gum scraping. Accidents like this even though not intentional may make the dog agitated, and therefore you might struggle to get the dog to allow cleaning to continue.
Never use your own toothpaste, and let the dog taste a little of his or her own paste first. Dog toothpaste is specially manufactured so dogs are not likely to snub it due to added flavourings like poultry and other dog-friendly likes.
Like you a canine’s teeth needs regular cleaning:
There’s a wide choice of dental products for dogs, such as chew toys, diets and more that’ll help strengthen their teeth and gums.
NOTE...
The stronger the Gnasher’s makes it easier to bite into bones and chew toys which in return helps strengthen them even more.
If you believe you’re not up to the job of cleaning your dog’s teeth for fear of harming the mutt, don’t be afraid, dogs are as tough as old boots. If you use pet care products it shouldn’t be a problem, however if you still feel iffy about doing it, nip into the health centre for pets and speak to the vet who will help.
Vet fees are expensive, not that money’s a problem when it comes to your pet. Also, and, not wanting to make you feel awful or feel pressurised to do this yourself, but your dog is more likely to be happier and content with you cleaning his or her teeth before that of stranger.
