Dolphin Dosky is a small type of dolphin that is found in cold water along the continental shelf in the southern hemisphere. This dolphin is associated with distinctive whales closely with other large marine animals including other dolphins, sea pigs and whales.
Dolphin Duski is widely found throughout the southern hemisphere with three species recognized by the geographic group, one located off the coast of South America, one near South Africa and the Indian Ocean. Unfortunately, although locally common dolphins, they are shrinking in many parts of their natural range due to threats from increased levels of human activity.
Anatomy and appearance
Dolphin Dusky is one of the smallest species of dolphins, which is about two meters long, while weighing up to 100 kg. Dolphin dosky like other species of whales with its smooth bald body. The upper side of their bodies is either dark gray or blue and black in color. Dolphin Dusky also features two light gray lines that work in a slanted line from the tail to the dorsal fin, which is tall with a curve that helps it change direction quickly in water. The Dolphin Dusky beak comes in black and is the most versatile color in the shape of those other dolphins, as well as containing conical teeth and is the ideal form for catching slippery and fast-moving prey.
Distribution and habitat
Dolphin Duski is found in cold water to moderate water (10-18 ° C) and close to the continental shelf in the southern hemisphere, and they seem to prefer shallow water instead of deep water areas (although this can vary depending on location and time of year) . Although they are not generally known to participate in seasonal migrations, Dolphin Dusky prefers to travel vast distances across the ocean and very quickly in search of food. There are three types of Dolphin Duski off the coasts of South America, Southwest Africa and all over New Zealand.
Behavior and lifestyle
Dolphins Dusky's behavior depends on the species and where they live, but they often spend their time near the beach to rest during the day in small groups of 10 to 20 people. Dolphin Dusky is an incredibly sociable animal and can be seen playing and wading and jumping. Although it is able to dive for up to 90 seconds each time, like other marine mammals it only keeps in return to the surface of the water to breathe. Dolphin Dosky is a very intelligent animal.
Reproduction and life cycles
Despite the relatively wide spread of Dolphin Dusky across the southern hemisphere, it is difficult to study these animals in the wild and therefore have very little information about their ages in general. Most DoSki dolphins tend to reproduce in late winter and during the early summer months between October and February.
Diet
Dolphin Duski is an eating animal for meat, which feeds only on other animals in order to get the nutrients it needs to survive. They gather in large groups during the journey through water. Dolphin Duski relies on anchovies, sardines and mackerel in shallow water, squid in the middle of the deep, and its largest hake and octopus in the deepest ocean. Dolphine Dusky uses a strong hearing aid with a high visibility ability through water.
Predators and threats
Due to its relatively large dolphin size, it has a small number of predatory animals, especially for its unique nature, which makes it escape many predators. One of the most important predators of dolphin dolphins is the large species of shark in shallow waters, coastal waters. Dolphin Duski is being threatened by human encroachment on habitats in the form of commercial fishing, which has led to a decline in the number of Dolphin Duski.
Age
Dolphinsky is about 18 to 25 years old.
