Week of 12/03/18 to 12/09/18
Another 6 figure sale reported last week that grabs the top spot on the list at over a quarter million dollars ($250,899 USD). A nice single word .com (calculator.com). This of course pulls up the average sale price, but as you can see we're still not lower than $5,000 for the bottom of the list so prices haven't seemed to have dropped at all. I'm looking forward to the new year because things have been slow the last few months for me. I usually have the bulk of my domain sales happen in the first half of every year and then slow down as we head into fall and winter. These lists are a reminder though that not everyone is experiencing the same thing, and a sale can happen at any moment.
Anyway, here's the Top 20 Domain Name Sales for last week that have been recorded by namebio.com

Domains with History
Number 18 on the list (playsoccer.com) is our only domain on today's list with a recorded sales history. It sold for $1,375 USD on December 7th, 2016 at GoDaddy. That's a gain of $4,853 USD over about 2 years, not bad!
About the Names
Today's list breaks down to 12 .com domains, 3 .top domains, 2 .org domains, 1 .us, 1 .tv and 1 .store domain.
The .store domain is a surprise as we don't see a lot of new generic top level domains sell at this level and particularly if the combination of words pre and post dot don't work perfectly. In my opinion, dental (dot) store isn't a term even. I don't know anyone that says they need to go to the 'dental store'.
My favorites on the list are calculator.com, rfq.com (request for quote) and I really like abbi.com.
that calculator is really valuable, but what will they do with that domain, create some kind of special calculator or what?
I mena domain name is cool, but to make something from it is hard...
I think it depends on what you want to do with the name.
You could certainly develop it into a site that has multiple calculations or calculator features.
Personally, I see it more as a brand or a domain that you sell to a company like Texas Instruments.
