The above photo is a photo of me Joshua Emeghai, your follower. I'm a final year structural engineering student in Nigeria University. I'm from a family of eight with six siblings (four sisters and two brothers) and my parents inclusive. I happen to be the sixth child of my parents, having a kid sister that's looking up to me for a brighter future.
My dad is a bus driver, while my mum is a petty trader (she sells detergents with kitchen soap). My dad works under someone, and his boss is always on his neck, telling him that he will collect the bus from him soon to give to someone else, and my dad has been so worried about it. According to my dad, he said his boss will collect the bus from him come June this year. And if that happens, my education will be in disarray, and my dream to be a renowned structural engineer will be aborted, because my dad is our only hope of surviving.
Among my siblings, I'm the only one in university while others are finding way to survive life. My immediate elder brother couldn't made his way to the university after finishing high school, all because there was no money. My kid sister will soon be done with her high school, and my parents are even making arrangement for her to go and learn work, because they can't afford to pass through the stress of training her in the university with the high tuition fees, as they are passing through in mine.
It hurt me alot to see my family passing through all this financial crisis, and I have no means to help out. I wish to be the saviour they have been praying God for, as they are looking up to me for a brighter future, when I'm done with my studies. Alot are expected of me from my family, and I can't afford to fail them, because they have really done lot for me by training me in university, and I pray that one day all these things will be of the past, Amen.
The reason I'm in for this Laptop donation, is because I believe with the use of the laptop, I will be able to steem well, and to do that which I ever wished to do on Steemit in order to earn high like others.
The phone I'm currently using tecno s9 is having serious issues at regular basis.
First, it has a battery problem. The battery doesn't usually last long, it runs down fast and It gets me piss off most times when I'm typing on Steemit and it goes off. The only time I enjoy using the phone is when I'm charging and typing at the same time (exactly what I'm doing now) then it won't go off, but immediately when there's power failure, give the phone 30mins it will also go off as well. It's just so frustrating and annoying.
The second problem of my phone is the touch pad. This is the most annoying part of the phone, when the phone is malfunctioning. Like I was told by a friend, he said the cause of the malfunctioning is as a result of the touch pad. This malfunctioning doesn't allow me to receive call, and typing at times is usually difficult...
The second reason I'm pleading for the donation is because of my school work. Like I earlier said, I'm a final year engineering student in the university. As a final year student, I have a Project work to carry out before being awarded with the degree of B.Eng (Bachelor of Engineering) and this has to do with some research work and money. I need a good laptop to get this done, my phone won't allowed me to do the online research and also the typing of the researched work. Please, I don't want to spend any extra year in the university, as I'm hoping to graduate this year to make my family life more better than it used to be, by the time my dream to become a renowned structural engineer comes through.
I believe with the donation of this laptop, I will be able to write and research on informative, educative and interesting post with good content on Steemit, where I will be having enough cash flow (payout) to support my family to breakout from this financial crisis, and also to sponsor myself through my final lap in the university.
