Doraemon's Latest Film Successfully Beat Black Panther in Japan!

Doraemon's legendary cartoon series proved to be very very longlasting and continues to be in demand by various generations and this is evidenced by the revenue from the latest Doraemon film that is still strong and continues to generate extraordinary income.

Doraemon's latest film which became the 38th film from this series named Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Takarajima (Doraemon film: Nobita Treasure Island) managed to reap revenue of 843.1 million yen, equivalent to Rp. 108.7 billion.

The film has opened in 369 theaters in Japan on Saturday, March 3, 2018 and managed to sell tickets for 717 thousand tickets in the first two days of the broadcast.

Doraemon's latest film also sold 22% more than the previous Doraemon film Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Nankyoku Kachi Kochi Daibouken is the second Japanese film with the most revenue in 2017 yesterday.

The adventures of Doraemon and his friends managed to defeat the adventures of King Wakanda and his friends in the Black Panther film that earned 310 million yen, equivalent to Rp. 39.9 billion in its first two days in Japan. According to estimates, next week the Black Panther and Doraemon will still dominate the Japanese box office.

The theme song from the latest Doraemon film sung by Gen Hoshino got the same popularity as this film. The song, entitled "Doraemon" which also became the 11th single from Gen Hoshino, successfully sold 144 thousand CD copies in its first week and was successfully downloaded 54 thousand times and immediately won on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and on the Oricon Single Ranking CD.

Eiga Doraemon Film: Nobita no Takarajima (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Treasure Island) collaborates with Kazuaki Imai as its director and Genki Kawamura novelist (Sekai kara Neko ga Kieta nara) as the person responsible for the story.

Eiga Doraemon's story: Nobita no Takarajima (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Treasure Island) is taken from the popular novel by Robert Louis Stevenson, Treasure Island. The novel, which was first released in 1883, tells the search for hidden treasures on a mysterious island.

There has been no news whether the latest Doraemon film will be released in Indonesia. If so, surely Doraemon lovers can't wait to watch it right?
