RE: Duodenal Atresia

Oh my goodness, I am so sorry you had to go through all that. Especially when it was something that could have been prevented if the doctors just let you do what you knew was best for.your child.

I recently had a baby, she's 20 months now, and I knew going in that the doctors can get super pushy at my hospital. I made sure to write down the things I would say no to. One of them was bottle feeding. I spent 2 nights at the hospital, as I gave birth on a weekend, and I found the staff to be less than helpful. I knew nothing leaving the hospital with my first newborn.

We struggled with latching properly and hired a breast feeding consultant. Because I was wanting to breast feed so badly, it took its toll on my boyfriend and I. I never got a break and she never took a bottle. Not once.

We have been blessed, and I believe you have been blessed as well. Despite the complications, I hope all is going well and that your family is healthy ♡
