Is The New Hard Fork PUNISHING Smaller Creators?

The Steemit team revealed their plans for the new HF. It got a lot of people angry because posts that don't get 20 Steem will earn less. The post that get 20 steem earn more. I think this is a stab in the back to us smaller bloggers. I put so much time into my YouTube videos, blogger blog posts, art/photography. This is like punishing me. This is trying to run minnows off of the site. I think this will cause smaller bloggers to leave Steemit. We struggle as it is to earn only to make even LESS?!

You may think this is a good thing so low value posts don't get a good payout. Some of us bust our humps only for us to be getting even less.

Yeah―although I don't think it's punitive per se I do think that it's a bad move in terms of encouraging adoption.

This benefits only the whales. Or maybe also the dolphins.
They will earn even more, and we will earn even less.
The few rich gets richer, and the poor majority will gets poorer.
Maybe this HardFork will punish the whole Steem blockchain by causing many more people to leave the Steem blockchain, decreasing the interest in Steem (and the activity on the Steem blockchain), and therefore pushing the price of the Steem even more down.
But we will see. Plankton/redfish and minnow content creators will certainly be punished by this.

I don't see many posts that are passed 20 Steem. People may have to post more to make up for the loss when it boils down.

But you will be able to get more from curating...

That's the only good thing I see from this.

If you would read the info you would know and not ask this question.

Any post that will earn less as 20$ is according to the Steemi team bad content! And you will lose on it. Next you can be flagged for no reason, you can not fight it what means you loose everything.

I spend so many hours on my YT videos and blog posts. How dare Steem say its 'bad' content. Maybe Steem is too saturated so they're trying to weed out the minnows.

That is what I like to know too. Where is their definition of good content?

Many invest a lot of hours/days and work hard but are not seen. That says nothing about their content quality but all about the system.

Many feel like you and it hurts indeed. I can remember them saying it had to be original too, not posted elsewhere. Why not if they do not appreciate it at all?

If you want to earn do it the easy way. Invest less time, dump a photo and link and you probably earn more with way less work.

I hope you make the 20 Steem (dollar). 💕

Hmm...
it the same concern as other ad based site but wheras Steem is more decentralized....
It very hard to do this things as the small guys don't pump as much money or own enough steem to make them important that much ie like a shareholder.
DAO funds do make sense-if you look at Dash,Decred and a few other DAO funds-it has been a success and allowed for more coding and price gains. IDK if it will happen with Steem but probably the same ideas.
I personally would of voted for equal cuts to all pools to fund the dao fund to make the effects less....
My suggestion start moving to SMT/tribes bc that what the future of this platform is looking like.
