Would you use a free public phone/mobile device charging station?

Would you use a free public charging station for your phone or other mobile device?

Public charging stations offer people a quick and secure place to power up their devices while they go back to shopping, dining, or just enjoying the day out.

Each charging station offers users a secure locker. Each time a locker is used the user will create a new pin code. Some lockers use thumb print scans.

Multiple cables are provided in order to charge 98% of all phones and mobile devices.

Each user will be allowed "x-amount of time" to charge their device(s). This allotted time should be enough to fully charge most phones. Allotted time would depend on how busy the charging station is.

Here are some examples of public charging stations:

@communitycharge is a project trying to bring free mobile device charging to the public. At this time we are in preliminary stages. Please follow us for updates. We will be posting more information, including an outline of the project, shortly. If you are interested in donating to the project please let us know.

Yes I would. Only if it was free though. Most of the time my phone is charged though so it would mostly be just to top it up.

Probably no.
I charge my phone at home. Usually in/during the evening/night.
Sometimes in/during the morning or in/during the afternoon.

Most people who use these stations charged their devices at home as well. Sometimes you use your phone more than you plan.

I found one the other day. I almost used it. Then I thought about it a little more. I have nothing to detect data collection, we all know there are millions of scams out there, and finally, I'm just a pumpkin. I make money with my phone, but I don't really need it that bad.
I enjoy a healthy practice of entering in to emergency usage only mode when my batter gets to about 30%.

You could had used your phone to verify the company. Not sure about any charging station scams going around. Seems like lot of overhead to steal a little data. Data that is easier to steal other ways. Even pumpkins can grow.

Yes, good points. Thanks
