You can be in denial all you want but no other era has been more peaceful than this century. Some research could definitely back this up. We need to appreciate that we are indeed living in one of the best times to be alive. It's more peaceful and people enjoy more rights and privileges. Far from a perfect world but definitely a lot better than previous eras.

People lived dangerous - predators, illnesses, wars, etc. - and died mostly in early ages.
