Well, as I am sure you know @flipstar, all of these SE Asian countries are very different from each other. I pretty much love all the places I have been here.
Comparing Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur:
- KL is easier - better MRT/LRT and the people commonly speak excellent English.
- Bangkok is cheaper for most products I would buy and has better, cheaper fresh food.
- KL has way better air quality and more rain.
- All the people are friendly, but there is nothing like the Thai's for smiling.
I like living here, and I miss Bangkok. I am so glad to have a reason to go back!
