There are already many (literally thousands of) cryptocurrencies in the market.
Why would I like to release another one?
If everyone would release their own cryptocurrency, which one would be in use?
Why would we use hundreds of thousands of cryptocurrencies?
There is no point in releasing hundreds of thousands of cryptocurrencies.
People should build a community under a few (or many) cryptocurrencies.
What matter is a strong and active community. People, who actively use the cryptocurrencies. That would push the price of the cryptocurrencies.
But the opposite is happening nowadays. Just see the Steem.
Many people are leaving (and already left) Steemit and the Steem blockchain.
The price of Steem is going down, because the interest in Steem is going down.
The price of Steem going down ==> People are leaving Steemit and the Steem blockchain === > The price of Steem goes further down ===> More people are leaving Steemit and the Steem blockchain. This is the domino effect.
The selfishness is a big problem in Steemit and of mankind in general.
A lot of people are blogging on Steemit, but a lot of people are don't care about the contents of others. They care only about their own content.
This is also why the price of Steem (and the activity on the Steem blockchain in general) is down nowadays.
