Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s @phctop3 Contest DPoll where we ask you, the people of Steem, to decide what are your favourites for our monthly topic.
This months topic is Comedy Movies
What Is The PHC Top 3 Contest DPoll All About?
Previously, we asked people to choose 3 of their favourite comedy movies and write a bit as to why it is their favorite. We then took all of those nominations from this month and have it listed on our dpoll ready for the voting to take place.
But we need your help in deciding the the most popular choices. The choices with the highest votes will be given points. The point system will determine the amount of the prize pool to be won based on placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Cast your vote below within the 7 day polling window. Once the results are in, we will announce the winner soon after.

I chose the three films in the list that I have seen over and over. Life of Brian is probably my favourite. Airplane is just so brilliant and we still use the "looks like I picked the wrong day to give up glue sniffing" line almost every month! And Austin powers is fab, baby.
I should have nominated Withnail and I which is probably my all time favourite comedy film, but I didn't so my own fault its not in the list

It is brilliant. Set in 1969, very clever dialogue. Another film we quote all the time.

Life of Brian is one of my favourite movies ever, so I'm with you on that one. Mike Myers is a comic genius and Airplane is a classic.

These are all fantastic choices. Birdcage is not only one of the funniest and most clever films of all time (based on a very old French film), but it was one of Robin Williams’ best films too.
In and Out is also one the most charming and clever films ever, with spectacular performances by several well known actors invluding Kevin Klein playing the lead.
I think the other one I voted for is Austin Powers. (It’s covered up by this comment box.) Ii is one of the most unique yet hilariously derivative works of all time!
I love Williams! His departure was too soon. I haven't seen Birdcage but perhaps its one I can watch tonight.

The bigger guy with the beard in The Hangover is my favorite character in that movie. Ive seen him in another movie with Robert Downey Jr. I forget the name of it, he played an excellent character as well in there.

To be fair, I like a lot of these movies [ Mrs. Doubtfire, Beetlejuice ] but I just don't define them as the funniest.
Mrs. Doubtfire, for instance, while it is very funny, is also pretty heart-warming and feel good, so I tend to lean more in that direction.
Where as a movie like Deadpool or the Holy Grail is just pure funny throughout.
Good list! I'd like to see the Princess Diaries on there, I think that one's pretty good, but otherwise these were some pretty good ones. Good variety :^)

I tend to agree with you that comedy has to be for comedies sake and no other reason, otherwise it isn't a pure comedy. (That was a mouthful). Funny enough, my choices; for fun as I'm an organiser, were Deadpool, Tropic Thunder and, one of my all time favourites, Life of Brian. Love Holy Grail too.
